Mercedes passenger killed in Houston’s first fatal accident of 2014
Police say a Chevrolet pickup truck was speeding, and the driver’s alcohol consumption may have been a factor, in the first fatal accident of 2014 in Houston. Police say the pickup truck ran a red light at the intersection of Pierce Street and Milam Street in downtown Houston around 1:00 a.m., crashing into the passenger side of a white Mercedes sedan. A husband and wife were traveling in the Mercedes: the husband was killed in the accident, the wife transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital. Read Channel 2’s report here.
