Suspected drunk driver crashes into police car on Corporate Drive
A suspected drunk driver bought himself a trip to Harris County jail last night when he crashed his white-colored Chevrolet Tahoe into several over vehicles, including a marked Houston Police Department patrol unit. The Tahoe driver lost control of his SUV while driving on Corporate Drive in southwest Houston, striking two vehicles and the police car. According to Channel 13 there were no reports of any injuries in the accident; the driver was given filed sobriety tests and then charged with drunk driving.

Cement truck accident at Highway 59 and Bissonnet
A cement truck and another vehicle crashed this morning on Highway 59 at Bissonnet blocking the southbound main lanes. According the Houston TranStar the crash happened at around 7:13 a.m. There is no immediate word from any of the local news channels whether anyone involved in the accident was injured. Still images from a TranStar camera appear to the show the driver’s side front wheel of the cement truck to be either missing or collapsed. Speeding black coupe rear ends Chevy Tahoe on West 610 Loop
Police say a small black coupe was speeding on the West 610 Loop in Houston last night around 1:00 a.m. when it rear-ended a white-colored Chevy Tahoe causing both vehicles to strike the concrete divider. The black coupe rolled over in the accident, which took place near the San Felipe exit in the Houston Galleria area. The driver of the coupe was transported to the hospital and the driver of the white Tahoe was treated at the accident scene. Both vehicles sustained significant damage and appear to be totaled. Cadillac driver flees scene of hit and run accident on Aldine Westfield Road
At 11:00 p.m. Saturday night Harris County Constables responded to a hit and run car accident on Aldine Westfield Road near Spring Creek Drive. A dark-red colored Cadillac CTS sedan crashed into the side of a Jeep, injuring five people in the Jeep, including a child. All five were transported to hospital, one in serious condition. The driver of the Cadillac fled the scene on foot and has not yet been apprehended, though probably will be shortly via a simple license plate check to determine the owner of the Cadillac.
Church van and deputy constables in accident on Navigation; five injured
A crash between a Precinct 6 Constable‘s patrol vehicle and a passenger van from the Iglesia de Cristo Fuente de Vida church sent five people to the hospital Wednesday. The accident happened at 4006 Navigation near North York. Authorities say deputies were responding to a call with lights and sirens operating when the white van pulled away from a stop sign, failing to yield the right-of-way to the deputies. Three people in the van and two deputy constables were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital, fortunately none suffered life-threatening injuries. Read Channel 2’s report here. Three vehicle accident at FM 1960 and Millstone Drive leaves one dead
Three vehicles collided in Spring, Texas around 7:30 p.m. Saturday at FM 1960 and Millstone Drive leaving one driver dead and another seriously injured. The vehicles involved were a blue-colored Scion four door car, an SUV and a pickup truck. Detective say the crash sent the pickup truck off the roadway, causing it to strike a utility pole and land in parking lot. The driver of the pickup truck died at the scene, and the Scion driver was taken to hospital in serious condition. Channel 2’s article is here.

Rear end crash on FM 1960 near Treaschwig claims two lives
Serious injuries in four car accident on FM 1960 in Spring
Several cars that were facing westbound on FM 1960 in Spring were stopped at a traffic light at Cypress Station around 12:20 a.m. Saturday morning when an SUV slammed into the rear of an older model Cadillac waiting in line. The Cadillac was shoved forward into the vehicle in front of it, then the Cadillac sideswiped a fourth vehicle. Reportedly the SUV flipped over onto its side and the driver had to be extracted by rescue crews: the was transported by Life Flight in critical condition. A man and a woman in the Cadillac were taken to hospital in serious but stable condition. Two men in the red-colored vehicle that the Cadillac was pushed into were treated at the scene but were arrested when deputies found a large amount of marijuana in their vehicle. One dead when Ford pickup and Toyota Camry collide on FM 1960 in Atascocita
Around 2:30 a.m. a dark-colored Ford F-series pickup truck was traveling west on FM 1960 in Atascocita, occupied by four male teenagers. As they approached the intersection of Timber Forest a Toyota Camry pulled out of a shopping center parking lot, turning in front of the pickup truck and causing a collision. There were four passengers in the Camry, two male and two female. One of the Camry’s male passengers, identified in a local news report as Colby Fitzgerald, died at the accident scene. The other passengers were transported to area hospitals, two of them by life flight helicopter. Nobody in the pickup truck was injured in the accident according to Channel 11’s report, but the 18-year old driver of the pickup was charged with driving while intoxicated. Despite Colby Fitzgerald’s death in the accident, the pickup driver will probably not be charged with intoxication manslaughter because the accident is not considered to be his fault.
