Two women in a white-colored SUV were trapped in their vehicle yesterday after a collision involving an 18-wheeler. The accident happened on the Southwest Freeway near Buffalo Speedway. Houston Fire Department’s technical rescue team responded to release the entrapped women, both of whom were transported from the scene by ambulance.

A METRO bus driver and six bus passengers are injured after an accident this morning near the South Loop and Scott Street. According to Channel 13’s report a pickup truck pulling a flatbed trailer came off the 610 Loop and ran a red light. The bus hit the trailer causing the trailer to flip over. An accident involving an 18-wheeler and a passenger car shut down Interstate 45 (the North Freeway) at Gulf Bank today. The accident was just before 1:00pm in the southbound lanes. Media photographs show a light-colored sedan stuck under the middle of a C.R.England 18-wheeler trailer with major damage to the windshield and roof of the car. Police are investigating the cause of a fatal accident the morning of Thursday May 24th at around 6:00am. According to FOX News’ report, the accident happened on the 610 Loop South feeder near Calais Road. It appears a black minivan crashed into a stationary big rig trailer that was being used in an advertising campaign.
